Apparently it's a cover version of an old James favourite..

:-)

I'll cry myself to sleep
When I come out of the shower
Comments I can't keep
On World Cup Final day
Sniping from the deep
Extremes of passion flower
Hope that camera's on
I hope I pray

Missed by the referee
The man, he lost control
I found myself upon the ground
He hit me so

Oh Zidane, oh Zidane, oh Zidane
Zidane butted me
Fell down, down, down, down, down
In Germany

Did I call him over-rated?
Zidane butted me
Was it his family I slated?
Zidane butted me
Did I call the man a terrorist?
Zidane butted me
It's just, football, in hate, in tears

Down
Down

Oh Zidane, oh Zidane, oh Zidane
Zidane butted me
Fell down, down, down, down, down
In Germany

Oh Zidane, oh Zidane, oh Zidane
Zidane butted me
Fell down, down, down, down, down
In Germany

Proving I know *absolutely* nothing about football, I actually
had to look the names up to learn what this was about. Excellent
work, though.

Apparently Sophie Ellis-Bextor has been found butted to death in a
Marseilles flat. The gendarmes say it's murder on Zidane's floor.

That was genuinely painful.

I must share the pain with someone...

Me neither. All I know is that they talk about what
cheeseburgers are called in France.

Sheesh. What do young people get up to nowadays, if they're not
watching violent movies featuring drug use? There's too much of this
making your own entertainmant around these days. You'll be telling me
next you've never seen /Galaxy Quest/.

I've started watching it three times, and fallen asleep or changed
channel. Dullest film I've ever encountered.

By Grabthar's hammer, I should hope so, too. What about you, Daibh? You've
seen GQ, surely? Get it out on DVD if you haven't. It is entirely up your
street.

By the suns of Worvan, it is indeed. Although some of the
Questies were a bit too familiar for comfort 8-).

One day I hope to win the title of Arch-SciFi-Geek by writing
a crossover fanfic between Galaxy Quest, Wormhole X-Treme! and
Professor X (a TV series in the Doctor Who universe about a
man who travels through space in a post box). Although I've a
niggling feeling a plot should really be involved somewhere as
well...

If you do, I want to see it. And plot's not really necessary 8-)

Ah. Tricky johnnies, plots. I could never get the hang of them, myself,
which is why I will never fill up a bank. I'll just have to content myself
with Tawny Madison/Ripley slash.

(Although you never know ... /The Jasper Fforde Companion/ wouldn't need a
plot, would it?)
